Where to Find Our Books
The easiest and most inexpensive way to purchase our titles is to buy directly from our website. You'll enjoy free shipping anywhere in the US while supporting the press and its authors. (Even Amazon, the Wal-Mart of books, will charge you at least $4 more than we will. Nobody wants that.) Teachers and reviewers interested in examination copies should write to Editor Peter Money, Harbor Mountain Press, PO Box 519, Brownsville, Vermont 05037
Online (Resellers and Institutions)
We recommend Grolier Poetry Book Shop in Cambridge, Mass, St. Mark's bookstore in New York City, Black Oak Books in Berkeley, Pegasus Bookstore in Berkeley, CA , Powell's in Portland, City Lights in San Francisco, Shiretown Books & Yankee Bookshop both in Woodstock, VT, and The Norwich Bookstore in Norwich, VT , to begin. Also, The Dartmouth Bookstore and Wheelock Books in Hanover, NH. We support small stores.
We urge you to send a letter or email inquiry before mailing a manuscript. Generally speaking, we are not reading manuscripts until further notice. Due to an overwhelming response, please understand Harbor Mountain Press will go through the manuscript pile as possible. Our response time is breaking some (long) records, we realize (the "we" is basically me, Editor/Director Peter Money. . . ), and we say this with some regret. Harbor Mountain Press continues to find great writing, but we are also spending much of our time promoting current titles. Thank you for understanding and for your support of small press publishing. Poetry is good food.
If you would like to submit a manuscript for consideration, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want us to return your work or correspond. As well, please enclose 1). a biography with your publication history, 2). an email address, and 3). your current phone number. And, most of all, be fearless. We regret that we cannot publish every good manuscript we receive. But we are glad to be in this together, open against all that's closed.
Please address all submissions to:
